Henry bought a CD on sale for 75% off of the regular price. He paid $8.88. What was the regular price?

Regular price was $35.52, an insanely overpriced CD ;)

If 75% of the original is taken off, 25% or 0.25 remains.

0.25x = 8.88
x = 35.52
